Girls' Day at ISRA VISION: Girls learn about technical professions

Darmstadt, Deutschland, April 28, 2023

Yesterday, ISRA VISION GmbH welcomed a group of ten girls to its headquarters in Darmstadt. As part of the nationwide Girls' Day, the girls learned more about the company as well as the career and training opportunities at the Darmstadt site.

"Girls' Day offers schoolgirls the opportunity to gain insights into technical and scientific professions in which women have so far been underrepresented. We are very happy when we can inspire girls for professions that they could not imagine before," says Tomas Lundin, Managing Director of ISRA VISION GmbH.

After a round of introductions and an introduction to the structure and areas of activity of ISRA VISION, the girls gained insights into the work processes in a technology company during a visit to the development department. Subsequently, the girls had the opportunity to learn more about the functions, development and use of vision systems as part of practical tasks. Among other things, the color, shape and size of sweets such as gummy bears, biscuits and chocolate kisses were tested.

Girls' Day is a nationwide orientation day for girls' career and study orientation, funded by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research. On this day, girls can familiarize themselves with professions or fields of study in which women have so far been underrepresented, for example in the fields of IT, crafts, natural sciences and technology.

At ISRA VISION, young talents have a wide range of entry opportunities, for example through vocational training as an industrial clerk or warehouse logistics specialist, as well as through a dual study program in the field of integrated engineering. You can find more information about the training opportunities at ISRA VISION on the website.
